The best thing about this coffee place at the Excalibur -- they open EARLY. I'm an early riser and I have this weird thing where I like to gamble early in the morning... I feel like my odds are better and I just am sharper in the mornings than I am later in the day. So being able to find coffee at 6 am right at the bottom of the elevator bank... that's the winner for me.
They also have pastries and other breakfast food. It's not delicious. But there is COFFEE as soon as you exit the elevator. At 6 am. It's $5 for a large coffee and it's not the best coffee you'll ever have but it's super convenient and they're pretty nice. It'll get you through until they start floor service of booze at 7 am... You're on vacation and it does not count if you drink a Bloody at 7 am. Especially if you're hitting on the Wheel of Fortune. -

If you want to remain asleep all day and your doctor advised you to kick the caffeine, you're in luck! This place forgets to put it in their drinks. I ordered two iced carmel macchiato coffees. The barista did her little button pushing and poof I was handed two milks with carmel. I returned the drinks only to be told they were having problems with the machine. They assured me the new ones would be good. Poof, two more milks with carmel. Neither drink had any espresso in them. $8.55 wasted and so was my time. Walk to SB upstairs, bye Felicia.

Stayed at the hotel for a for a few days. First day we tried to get coffee at their scheduled business hours but they were closed. Second day got two Carmel macchiatos but after returning to our rooms to drink them we realized there was zero expresó in them. They we $5 Carmel milks. We returned to ask for them to be remade and ended up getting the same thing. This place is just full of disappointment

Castle Coffee shop appeared twice in the Excalibur, but they also have other locations outside of this resort. While staying at the Excalibur, I found it noteworthy that Castle Coffee is found at the elevators leading to the rooms in both Tower 1 and in Tower 2 (on opposite sides of the casino floor). It makes sense they would place these here since there were no in-room coffee makers. We felt lucky to even have a blow dryer in the rooms given their state.
We only visited Tower 2 Castle Coffee, but I imagine there isn't much of a difference. More than just coffee is sold here. They have breakfast items and packaged mixed salads. They aren't open very late but there is a Starbucks upstairs in the food court. -

Avoid this dump. Garbage product, long wait, never open at 6am like the sign says it is. If it's a straight cup of coffee that you're looking for, headed down the hall to Johnny Rockets. You'll find they have decent coffee at a decent price, and you get free refills, and there's never a even a line.
